He was always complaining about not getting enough preaching engagements…
And then his time came…
And you know what?
He laid an egg…
He obviously wasn’t ready and it showed.
Huh?
You would think that a guy who attacks other folks and audibly wonders why they get the opportunity and he doesn’t would be ready when his time came…
And he wasn’t…
You know why?
I don’t know…but maybe…
just maybe…
God don’t like ugly…
That other person is waiting for the opportunity just like you…
You think you can preach better than that one…
Maybe you can…
Then again…
Maybe you can’t…
But in the final analysis, that person is preaching and you will either wait patiently or be a problem by talking against him or her…
And God ain’t with that program…
But then again…
Maybe…Just Maybe…
That hate goes deep into you…
It is difficult to put together a sermon that positively effects your people while hating…
Yeah I know some folks are able to pull this off…
And surely God can sometimes allow something good to come out of hatin…
But why do you want God to turn the product of our hate into something good…why not just have something good that God can and use for the furtherance of the kingdom?
You may get them to shout, but hate separates you from the people you are trying to connect to…
But then again…maybe the reason why it didn’t go that well is…
Hate can make you think you are better than you are…
You start to believe your own hype…
And pride goes before the fall…
So folks, in short…don’t hate…
Your time will come…
And if you want to be ready when your time comes…then why not get ready…take a text..and exegete it and prepare it.
