So I have been learning music over the last few years.
Somebody said, “All the answers are in the records.”
What they were saying is that if you have a question about music, you can get the answer by listening to records.
Copy records…
Attempt to play with records…
All the answers are in the Music…
Well…
One can say the same thing with sermons….
Listen to great preachers…
Emulate them…
How do they interpret the Bible?
How do they apply that interpretation to the people…
In some ways…I, as a preaching teacher, is just giving you pointers to look at what preachers are doing…
We are in a very interesting time….
You can listen every week to just about any preacher you want to listen to…
Of any denomination…
From any location…
Without even missing one day at your own church…
So the key is to listen…
Understand what they are doing…
Attempt to add that to your own way of constructing sermons…
And then…as you discard some ideas from other preachers…and add in ideas from other preachers….you will then create your own construction method…
