Doors shut…
And doors open…
Yesterday I was contemplating the shutting of a door in the life of this ministry…
And it kind of got me down for a moment.
It was an opportunity that fell in my lap and then a few years later, it fell out of my lap…
I began to think about missing out on it.
I began to think about what it could ultimately mean.
But then I remembered…
I didn’t do anything to get it…it was God…
Yep…
In a moment of weakness, we may find ourselves wondering and asking…
When?
And
Why?
These important questions that I tell you to ask in your homiletic journey because these are the very questions that the people in the pew ask…
And they are the questions that we ask…
Well…
To you I have a message…
Your time will come…
Yeah, I know that’s easy to say…
You may not even believe it.
The great thing about this is don’t worry whether you believe it or not…just keep your hand on the plow and just hold on…
Keep on doing what you doing.
Keep on preparing…
Keep on preaching…
Keep on moving forward…
A better day…after while…
Specifically…Go grab you a text and ask God to show you what you need to get from that text…
And then…apply that text to your circumstances…
Now go head and preach yall…
I know it is gonna have some power in it, because you will be preaching not just to other folk…
You will also be preaching to yourself.
