Does your sermon have authority?
Just look at the congregation and that will often tell you all you need to know.
I was looking at a preacher whooping and hollering…
I looked at the choir behind the preacher.
They were dozing off and showing all kinds of signs of disinterest.
I am sure we all can remember listening to preachers who weren’t making a lot of noise, but their content just shouted to the rooftops…
On occasion some of these preachers can even whisper louder than other folks who are screaming as loud as they can.
What is the difference?
Authority…
You know when someone in authority says something, it gets done. Remember when that man asked Jesus to just “speak the word only and my servant shall be healed.” Matthew 8:8.
He was saying, I don’t need no theatrics. I don’t need no shouting. All I need is someone with Authority to say something.
If you got authority, just “speak the word only…”
This is why I often say, “let the content do the shouting…”
Yes, allow your own internal enthusiasm to come through. BUT, you need to make sure that it is the content…
Content that came from glory…
Content that God told you to give…
Content that God and you turned into a sermon…
Content that is life changing…
If you have powerful content with Divine credentials on it, then you will not be able to contain your enthusiasm, and your people will show it…
THIS is why I created supercharge your sermons. Why do I keep telling you about it? Because this is why I created it. To help preachers let their content do the shouting…
