I turned 51 years of age today…
And Life is good…
But it can be rough…
Things didn’t go as I had planned always in ministry…
Even this ministry…
I haven’t always been as true to it as I should have been…
I haven’t always done as I should have. You know…
But one thing I have learned in my 51 years…
You just gotta keep moving forward…
Dr. King said something like,
If you can’t run…walk …if you can’t walk crawl. If you can’t crawl, just keep inching along…
But always….
Keep moving…
That’s my thought for today. Keep moving forward.
Yes, my sisters and brothers …keep moving…
You didn’t get that church you thought you should have gotten…
God still has a ministry for you…keep moving…
You didn’t get that invitation you were anticipating…
It ain’t over….yes…keep moving…
Your sermon wasn’t as strong as you had hoped
Well guess what…you ain’t through preaching Get that next one ready……keep moving…
Maybe you ain’t studied as you have
Well….you gonna be ready next time…keep moving….
And the real point is that some of us preachers never feel like we are prepared no matter how much study we put in.
No matter how much we have done…
But you know what…I ain’t getting into that this morning…
I want you to just keep on moving forward. Keep moving yall…
What do you do when your sermon didn’t go like it should have?
Think about the sermon…
Spend a few moments on that…
And then you know what you need to do?
That’s right…
Keep moving…yes….work on the next one..
The enemy wants you to dwell on defeats…
But I’m here to tell you to keep moving…
You forgot something you should have remembered.
What do you do?
You don’t wallow in the depths of despair…you make your plan to remember..and then you go on forward in God’s name…
Keep moving yall…
Somebody need to get up today…
Somebody need to forget about that sermon…and go write the next one…
Move on yall…
Step forward yall…
And guess what….
When you move….that’s when Go moves…
Remember it was flood time….
But soon as the priest’s feet hit the jordan…God made a bridge THROUGH troubled waters…
Keep moving yall….
Today…..
God ain’t through with you….
God has another assignment….
Be ready for it…
By continuing to move….Keep on moving…
