The secret sermon formula…
You ever heard a powerful preacher and then take his or her preaching seminar?
Some of them are pretty good…
But I have to admit…
Some of them are not…
Sometimes all we get is either
1) An inspirational sermon about preaching – that’s cool and all, but it doesn’t tell us how to actually do it ourself…
2) Incomplete Information – Really good information about one aspect of the preaching task, but important tasks ignore or left out…
3) Regurgitation of Conventional Wisdom – Telling us what everybody else says without really giving us insight into their spin on the task…
I don’t know if they do it so naturally that they don’t know what they do…
Or if they are keeping the secret sauce to themselves…
There are exceptions…and there are different philosophies of what teaching preaching even should be…
