We have already discussed what Bible translation to use in presentation. However, in this audio we discuss what Bible translations to use in preparation.
Preachers should make use of as many translations as the preacher can obtain. However, there are four translations that should be a part of every english preacher’s library. Listen to this audio to see which ones.

Great content and very well thought out an presented. Your dicussion helpled me to rethink som issues. You should also look at the Message Bible – for clarity and content it brings things straight to the point. The wording in modern and pointed. People don’t read so I read the text for them with emphasis on paying close attention to puncuation. I may read it in the KJV and then for a real emphasis I will then read the Message version to drive the point home.
I will look at the Message Bible. I have had a lot of people tell me that it is a good translation for modern readers.
So far, I have only used 2 translations: King James Version and New International Version. I will get a copy each soon of that other 2 versions. Thanks so much for widening my perspective in the use of Bible translation in sermon preparation. God bless!
